Corberán: "The fans want to see a committed and dedicated team, and that's what they’ll get"
The Valencia CF coach speaks ahead of the match against Real Madrid CF
Thierry Correia made his debut for Valencia CF on Matchday 6 against Getafe, playing the entire 90 minutes of the LaLiga fixture. The Portuguese fullback, who arrived at the club on the final day of the summer transfer market, was one of several players making their first starts this term, including Kang In and Jaume Domenech.
Lining up alongide Mouctar Diakhaby, Gabriel Paulista and Jaume Costa, Correia was given the task of stifling Getafe's attacks down the left. He also contributed in the opposition half, including floating a ball over to Francis Coquelin inside the area that the Frenchman put wide.
The match was the 20-year old's first in just under a month. He had previously played four encounters in the Portuguese league for Sporting CP, the last of which was a 2-3 defeat to Rio Ave on August 31st.
With a packed fixture list and Cristiano Piccini a long term absentee through injury, Correia is likely to enjoy further minutes over the coming weeks.
